Manchester United eyeing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches

Seeing this, Ten Hag wanted to keep moving fast, one of which was to add Renato's name to the shopping list. Previously, Manchester United had brought in Christian Eriksen on a free transfer. Manchester United is still not done shopping for new players at the beginning of this season. The latest news according to Sky Sports, Wednesday (3/8/2022), MU is eyeing the name of Lille midfielder, Renato Sanches.

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag wants his club to buy two to three new midfielders at the start of this season. One of them is by bringing in Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona,   but unfortunately this transfer continues to drag on without an end. Several British media reported that Ten Hag was indeed targeting players who played as box to box midfielders or anchor midfielders to strengthen his team next season. Renato became a rational and right choice. The player who is often dubbed the "giant" does have perfect physicality and technique according to Italian media, Tutto Mercato Web.

MU is also eyeing several other names such as Wolverhampton Wanderes midfielder Ruben Neves but the negotiation process is arguably quite tough due to the unmatched price from both sides of the club. With 12 months remaining on his contract at Lille, the 24-year-old player already has a lot of experience from Benfica, Bayern Munich to Lille. Therefore, he can be a solution for MU's midfield at Old Trafford next season at a price that can be considered cheap if you look at the rest of the player's contract. Seeing this, the MU manager, Erik ten Hag, has identified the name Declan Rice as the solution behind the stagnant transfer of Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona. The original England midfielder will drain Manchester United's pocket because his value reaches 100 million pounds if he is brought in from West Ham United earlier this season.

Manchester United continues to hunt for new players ahead of the start of the new season. Many players are being targeted but there are some who have stalled in negotiations, one of which is the transfer saga of Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona. Rice was a long-time target of the Red Devils but because it was too expensive, MU had closed their interest in him. But now, Ten Hag wants to liven up that interest, according to British daily Express.
Players who are worth around 55 million pounds are magnets for big European teams. Juventus are eyeing Savic due to the injury of their new player, Paul Pogba. Meanwhile, Arsenal want to sign Savic to anticipate the departure of Granit Xhaka later. Manchester United are hoping to win over Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

Manchester United have to face Arsenal and Juventus to get Savic's signature this season. In the midst of these rumors, according to Tuttosport, a source close to Savic said the player would prefer to anchor at Old Traffford rather than Arsenal or Juventus.
Now the Red Devils will reportedly shift that hope to Ruben Neves. Cristiano Ronaldo's partner in the Portugal national team is one of the important pillars in Wolverhampton Wanderers' midfield. Neves, who joined Wolverhampton Wanderers since 2017, has made 212 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 12 assists. He is a defensive midfielder who is not afraid to go forward and possesses accurate passing skills, great vision and astute positional sensitivity.

In addition, Neves also has good technical qualities, tactical intelligence, and long-range shooting abilities. With a classy record and a fantastic playing style, Neves has a market price of around 40 million pounds. Like a tit for tat, the player really wants to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers. Manchester United and their manager Erik ten Hag want to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The Dutch youth is Manchester United's main target in the 2022 summer transfer market.
