Volodymyr Zelensky : Hope the G20 Meeting in Bali Provides a Solution

Because the war was still raging, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was unable to comply with President Joko Widodo's invitation to attend the G20 meeting in Bali in person. “I cannot visit and attend face-to-face meetings, because I have to be with my people. So, I'll join you online, that's an option," Zelensky said in response to a question from a participant in the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) discussion recently. Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dino Patti Djalal acted as the host of the discussion.

Also present were a number of figures, including Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar from the National Awakening Party (PKB) and member of Commission VII DPR RI Golkar Party faction Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri. On that occasion, Zelensky expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo for his invitation to attend the G20 Summit. “We accept the invitation with great respect. Hopefully the world can come up with a solution to this problem, and we won't see a bigger impact. Hopefully this atrocity can be stopped," he said. He believes and believes that the meeting will be a friendly discussion between countries.

It is also hoped that the Indonesian people will pray for world peace and humanity. Until now, said Zelensky, international pressure through moral support and boycotts was not enough to make Russia relax its aggression. "Regarding real dialogue, I can't see any substantial progress. I have not received a response from Russia on the proposal to stop the war since the beginning of the negotiations," he said in response to a question from mDino Patti Djalal, as the host.

Therefore, Zelensky hopes that the G20 meeting in Bali in November will find a way out. “Therefore, all must unite, and not only economically. We must try to stop their aggression. The G20 must support us so that we can reach the end of this war," he stressed.
