Newcastle United offer significant salary for Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is being targeted by three Premier League teams and Newcastle United are reportedly looking to beat Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United to get him. The Dane has been in stunning form since returning to the top level following a cardiac arrest he suffered at Euro 2020 last year. His career with Inter Milan was forced to end because Italian football did not allow players to use the ICD. After that, the former Ajax player returned to the Premier League with Brentford since January 2022.

Christian Eriksen signed a short-term contract until June this year. However, he has scored one goal and assisted in five games for the Bees. His outstanding performance on the pitch has successfully caught the attention of a number of clubs, who can get him for free at the end of this season. Brentford actually wanted to keep Eriksen's serve, only they realized it was not an easy job.

Eriksen's former club, Tottenham Hotspur, plus Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United have been linked with the 30-year-old. Reported by the Northern Echo, the Magpies, nicknamed Newcastle United, hope to beat their competitors to get Christian Eriksen's signature.
Despite being one of the wealthiest clubs, Newcastle United's owner, Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has been unable to provide coach Eddie Howe with lavish funds.

This is because Newcastle United is bound by the Premier League's Financial Fair Play regulations. However, recent reports claim that Newcastle United will offer him a significant salary increase from what Christian Eriksen got at Brentford. The Magpies also hope that their bid is the same or even better than their competitors. As well as the money, club director Amanda Staveley hopes her vision for the future, including a top-six finish, can help melt Christian Eriksen's day of choosing Newcastle United.
