Oracle Red Bull Racing

Max Verstappen is believed to be staying at Oracle Red Bull Racing for the next four or five years. The annual income is very attractive. Under the new contract, the Dutchman will receive between 40 million euros and 50 million euros per year during that period. The deal, which will be worth 200 million euros to 250 million euros, has reportedly already happened. Red Bull is expected to make an official announcement about Verstappen's new contract in the next few days. It's no secret that Verstappen and Red Bull are back together to discuss a new contract. This is inseparable from the success of stopping the driver's world title in F1 which has been held by Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 in a row since 2014. Last year, Verstappen defeated the seven-time world champion (2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) Mercedes mainstay Lewis Hamilton through a fierce duel throughout the 2021 season.

For Verstappen, that was the first F1 world title. As for Red Bull Racing, it was the fifth title after Sebastian Vettel (now at Team Aston Martin) won it in a row from 2010 to 2014. By successfully winning the drivers' world title in the 2021 F1 season, it was only natural that Verstappen asked for a new contract with Red Bull Racing. Currently, Verstappen is still bound by an old contract that only expires at the end of the upcoming 2023 season. With the deal, Verstappen gets 22.5 million euros (25 million US dollars) per year, excluding bonuses from the team and sponsors and sponsorship contracts. But if the new deal really happens, Max Verstappen will stay at Red Bull until 2025 or 2026. As mentioned above, with a new contract later, he will receive 40 to 50 million euros per year. If the value of Verstappen's new contract is realized, he will certainly become the highest-paid F1 driver past Hamilton. According to Forbes, Hamilton currently earns 50 million US dollars, although some sources say 55 million US dollars. Meanwhile, if exchanged for US dollars, with the new contract Verstappen will receive between 44.4 million US dollars to 55.5 million US dollars. To be sure, with his current income – salary, bonuses and sponsorship – Max Verstappen is already the richest Dutch athlete.
