Brazil manager Tite to replace Mikel Arteta in 2023

The Gunners are in good form at the moment and are fourth in the Premier League standings. They are in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since the 2016-17 season. However, Tite's good relationship with Arsenal's technical director, Edu, could see him arrive in North London in the near future. According to Globo journalist Eric Faria, Edu wants Tite to be the next Gunners manager and negotiations are already underway.

Faria reports, “There have been negotiations for Tite to work in England. Works at Arsenal. He worked with Edu Gaspar. There is an intention, negotiations have already started.” Tite has served as head coach of Brazil's national team since 2016, but it is expected he will leave the post after this year's World Cup regardless of how the Selecao do in Qatar. Furthermore, Globo Esporte claims that his plan is to arrive at the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming 2023-24 season. To note, Edu and Tite had worked together while at Corinthians and the Brazilian national team before the first name became the inaugural director of the Gunners.

Arteta was rumored to have received a job offer at Barcelona last year, but recent reports suggest that Arsenal are ready to land him a new high-value contract that would see him become one of the most expensive managers in the Premier League. The Sun reported in February that the Spaniard would sign a new three-year contract. Arteta's current contract expires in the summer of 2023.
